Women Krav Maga
Women as compared to men have different reasons to learn about self defense for instance a man doesn’t need to learn techniques against sexual assault.
There are many more reasons:
- Women have to confront or battle threats which have unique characteristics
- Women have a different physique from men and are inferior in terms of strength
- Culturally, men and women are still treated differently, which breed a certain mentality in both of them.
Krav Maga encapsulates all these differences and places special importance in dissolving the mental disparities.
Women must content with two main threats: Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment. Krav Maga teaches them to confront these problems by using the “Correct Behaviour under Risk” method.
This highly efficient methodology consists of:
- Identifying and avoiding a risk situation
- Fast retreat
- Equip yourself with objects in the surroundings
- Fight – Using Krav Maga self defense techniques
- Flight- After fighting retreat and protect oneself
Krav Maga focuses on training women mentally first to avoid and direct encounter and then later how to escape or handle it. It includes learning technique to use the environment or objects lying around for self defense, being offensive by fighting and hitting the offender at most vulnerable positions, combating offenses like taking a punch or blow to the body.
Hence by the end of a couple of months of training the women is conditioned to assault, mentally prepared, alert and also confident of her reflexes as well as techniques.

Children Krav Maga
Children are categorized into a special group with their own special needs to learn Krav Maga. Due to their lack of experience, small physique, unutilized mental abilities as well as lower awareness levels, special emphasis and techniques are incorporated to teach them about self defense.
Hence, the exercise and methods are dissected onto primary reflex elements and taught stage by stage along with “combat games” that are related to the studied technique.
In order to prevent unbefitting usage of Krav Maga techniques, such as blows that were meant strictly for danger situations, which might be practiced at home or on school grounds in a normal situation, a definite distinction between right and wrong, and ascribe each exercise to the condition under which it should be applied. Accordingly the separation between Peacetime techniques and Wartime techniques is created.
- Peacetime techniques – These would be defense exercises (with no attack) and the soft attacks (Educational Stop and repulsion using open palm). These can be used in peaceful environments like play ground, school, neighbourhood while dealing with family, friends or neighbours. The child is taught that under no circumstances can he/she cause any injury, pain or discomfort while doing these exercises.
- Wartime techniques – these include all harsh and violent attack that might cause a major injury or at least intends to. The situation will include a confrontation with the “war people”- so called bad people who intend to hurt the trainee, and are a clear threat.
Other than the basic advantages of Krav Maga as a self defense and combat training tool, there are several others that benefit a child.
Goal setting and follow through:
Many students had difficulty in understanding how to go from point A to point B. Krav Maga focuses on each child’s mental ability to understand and imbibe. First they learned a very simple technique, then a more advanced one. They saw how efforts yielded gradual results, rewards, and recognition. This motivated them to try harder, to attend classes more often. Krav Maga and all martial arts are based on repetition, they saw how a task which appeared impossible at first became easy later on as the body and the nervous system adapted to it. They learned that no goal is impossible and that they can become the person they admired.
Self Confidence
Many children lack self-confidence and self-esteem. Learning a complicated skill gives them a sense of accomplishment and achievement. They set out to accomplish something and they did it.

Major research has shown that Krav Maga helps as a treatment for Attention Deficit Disorder, more than other sports.
Understanding Structures and Rules

Law Enforcement
The law enforcement personnel’s job is literally to enforce the Law. While the soldier has the right to kill, a civilian should only protect himself and the 3rd Party protectors cares only about guarding his client; a Law Enforcer protects the Law.
Krav Maga is a flexible tool and it can be modified to fit each country’s set of laws.
Since Law Enforcers are equipped with specific tool and weapons, Law Enforcement subjects under Krav Maga are specially designed to maximize efficiency of these tools to fulfill their mission in the best possible way. For eg: handle handcuffs efficiently, to use the pistol as a cold weapon etc.

In 1948 the Israeli Defense Force was created to oppose the British Mandate. Imi Lichtenfeld then developed the most efficient system of unarmed combat to be used by the military. Krav Maga was to provide solutions for obstacles and difficulties that a soldier might face in the battle field, such as rope climbing with weight, landing safely from high jump, taking down an enemy guard and using the rifle as a cold weapon (when you can’t or would rather refrain from firing).
It was developed especially for the military and had to be taught to anyone and in a short period of time.

The main concept behind 3rd Party Protection is to protect and guard the VIP.
A VIP Protector is expected to
- Physically – protect the VIP through two physical actions: the first is removing the 3rd party from the danger’s way. The second is parrying the attacks for the 3rd party.
- Mentally – convert his mind set from self preservation to his sense of duty.

SWAT Krav Maga
SWAT teams differ from normal Law Enforcement forces in that, they deal with extremely difficult and volatile circumstances. They are required to take law-enforcing actions with a harsh and more militant attitude, as they are usually confronted with hostile situations in narrow spaces such busses and buildings. They also usually deal with armed attackers and their mode of action reflects that.
A hostage situation demonstrates the complicity of the SWAT team’s work : They arrive after the law has been broken; the place of action is within the country’s borders; they incorporate techniques from VIP protection; and their actions against the attacker are fatal and militant; however if the attacker surrenders, they must apprehend him as law enforcers.
The main use of Krav Maga in SWAT units is for its psychological merits. It is a good instrument for teaching trainees the “switch-on, switch-off” technique.
Air Marshal
The main factor that influences the techniques for Air Marshal Security is the airplane’s shape and structure- a narrow, tube shaped space. Krav Maga is very useful in this situation, especially when using fire arms is virtually impossible, dangerous and only used as a last resort.
Sea Marshal
Like the Air Marshal, the Sea Marshal has to act alone in a closed perimeter. His responsibilities are varied from dealing with threats outside the craft while docking, protecting passengers from each other and from terrorists, battling terrorist threats and also using firearms. A Sea Marshal’s job is psychologically very taxiing as he and his team must work alone (without backup), and away from civilization for long time periods.

A child is not a tiny adult. In developing our training programs, grading system, curriculum, lesson plans and teaching methods, we have carefully considered the unique needs of children and teens.
These days, with violence on the rise and bullying becoming more and more common, both the educational system and parents face difficulties in handling violence directed at children. It is essential that young people acquire skills, abilities, techniques and tactics to cope with any unexpected confrontation inflicted upon them.
For this reason, the need for instructors who specialize in teaching children and teens has grown.
The Youth Instructor Course includes specific education, training and tools to teach Krav Maga and self-defense techniques to children and teenagers.

Yoga is basically a mind and body discipline whose goal is higher spiritual attainment. However, today Yoga is practiced with a view of health benefits we can derive from it. Yet a little bit of philosophical knowledge of this system becomes necessary because it talks in terms of subtle phenomenon happening inside us, subtle energies, subtle bodies that lie inside our gross physical bodies.0
To know why Yoga is practiced we have to understand that there is a tendency or an innate desire in human beings, which is the desire to acquire, to acquire anything and everything that they do not possess or think that is less and it should be more in particular. For example, knowledge, the perfect health, lots of wealth, prosperity, fame, all the materials of this world and another, power to do whatever he wishes, an intelligent and powerful mind, rich experiences of anything that exist, to be very lovable and being loved etc. Or, in other words there is the desire to have an absolutely perfect life (whatever may the individual’s view of absoluteness be).

1. CORE STRENGTH AND GENERAL FLEXIBILITY :- (20 hrs / 10 days)
Improves the core muscles strength and in general of the whole body. Body becomes lighter and movements are gracious.
2. FLEXIBLE, STONG AND SUPPLE SPINE:- (30 hrs / 10-15 days)
It includes flexibility and strength training, relaxation, soothing the nervous system and spinal injury rehabilitation viz. spondylosis, slip disc, muscular dislocation etc.
(A man is as younger as its spine is flexible)
3. POSTURAL ALIGNMENT, AWARENESS AND BALANCE:- (10 hrs / 5 days)
Movements with body co-ordination. Improves the body awareness and balancing postures. Improves the balance in body movements and in all walks of life. It improves the mental capacity to stay calm and balanced in any situation while being aware of our own system.
4. MINOR YOGIC MOVEMENTS AND BREATHING:- (6 hrs / 3 days)
It is pre-requisite for any of the above programs. It improves the basic movements of all body parts and joints, removes stiffness of the body, increases circulation, removes uric acid accumulation from body and relieves painful body condition.
5. SUN SALUTATION:- (6 hrs / 3 days)
It is a series of 12 postures done in continuous flow. It affects the energy centers (subtle) of the body and thus is a very powerful exercise in channeling the whole body energy. Its effects are on all the systems of the body and on strengthening the limbs of our body.
It balances our voluntary and involuntary / natural reflex systems and good for general flexibility and fitness.
6. PRANAYAMA:- (Basic Course – 4 hrs / 2 days)
It increases the lung capacity, removes toxins from the blood and thus improves the conditions of lung, kidneys and all excretory organs. Works wonders on all psycho-somatic disorders, nervous systems, hypertension, stress, digestive and glandular system. Different body secretions viz. hormones and enzymes are regulated, mind calms down, soothes the nerves, memory and concentration is improved.
A regular practice improves the immunity, endurance and vital powers of the body. Our energy is channelized and we get control over our thoughts to put them to higher use as for critical thinking, deep contemplation and meditation.
7. SANKH PRAKSHALANA :- (Yogic Colon Cleansing)
Our digestive system is like engine of the body and root of 90% of disorders. For its effective and healthy functioning it needs to be cleansed and kept light.
Sankh Prakshalana cleanses the whole elementary canal, which is the starting place of all disorders viz. constipation, gastric, heaviness in body, lethargy, dyspepsia, indigestion etc, to name a few.
It is an effective tool for purifying the body and for removal of excess fat also.
